What the Service Provides
Energy Conservation Assistance Program
Every home is different. An energy coach reviews the home’s energy use and determines which products and upgrades it is eligible for. Additional visits may be needed to install some equipment. You may receive energy-saving products, such as:
- LED light bulbs
- Kitchen and bathroom faucet aerators
- Water-efficient showerheads
- Exterior door weatherstripping
- A clothes drying rack or clothesline
*Carbon monoxide alarms may be installed as a safety upgrade in homes with fuel-burning appliances. Some homes may also qualify for an ENERGY STAR® certified refrigerator, insulation or an electric heat pump. The energy coach explains how to use the upgrades and other ways to save energy.
Energy Saving Kits
One free kit per household once every five years. Filled with easy-to-install products that you can install yourself (instructions included), such as:
- An LED night light and four LED light bulbs
- A water-efficient showerhead
- Kitchen and bathroom faucet aerators
- Weatherstripping
- Window film
- Outlet and switch sealers
- A refrigerator or freezer thermometer
- A furnace filter coupon
