Status: Open

About

The Ma Nîķi Renovations Program provides financial assistance to Métis Citizen homeowners to support home renovations that improve safety, livability, and overall housing conditions. This program helps reduce core housing need by improving the suitability and adequacy of Métis owned housing in B.C. and by increasing affordability for Métis homeowners.

Eligibility

To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Applicants must be MNBC Citizens, verified by a copy of their MNBC Citizenship Card or confirmation from MNBC’s Ministry of Citizenship.
  • At least one property title holder must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Applicants must demonstrate a total gross annual household income of $200,000 or less (before-tax). Proof of income must be provided using the most current Notice of Assessment from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
  • The property must be owned and occupied by the applicant as their principal residence. Eligible properties include single-family homes, apartments, condos, multiplexes, row homes, townhomes, co-ops, mobile homes, or modular homes.

Priority may be given to applicants with urgent health or safety needs, ensuring that funding goes where it can make the greatest impact.
