About
An interactive, 10-week online instruction program focused on increased proficiency and competency with Microsoft Excel. The course will be provided utilizing the Moodle Learning Management System (Moodle LMS) and Open-Source Learning Resources. Small class sizes (12-16 participants) will facilitate 1-on-1, personalized support. Appointment-based live tutoring sessions will be offered weekly to provide students with extra support and in-depth assistance with course material. Additionally, a series of five appointment-based 1-on-1 sessions will be offered as support and guidance following the completion of the final session.

What Participants Learn
Following the completion of the course, students will be able to:
- Basic and complex formulas and functions.
- Absolute and relative references across spreadsheets and workbooks.
- Charts, chart elements, tables, filtering, sorting and data validation.
- Styles, themes and templates.
- Editing and reviewing workbooks.
- Integrating multiple worksheets and workbooks.
- Pivot tables and pivot charts.
- Creating personal and professional workbooks and templates.
- Units also include a baseline assessment, demonstrations, practice, quizzes, an Excel portfolio and individualized feedback.
Format, Duration and Location
Ten-week online course delivered through Moodle, with live sessions, small classes and appointment-based tutoring.
Each unit will include:
- A baseline assessment of current skills
- Live sessions with detailed demonstrations of assignments
- Comprehensive learning objectives
- Single-skill development activities and practice
- Combined-skill development activities
- Interactive quizzes
- Development of an Excel portfolio comprising course info and integrated skillsets
- Individualized feedback and assessment throughout
