About
This program is dedicated to empowering Métis youth and young adults in B.C. to explore their environmental passions and drive climate action. It aims to strengthen Métis cultural knowledge and environmental stewardship by offering youth hands-on learning opportunities through the Guest Speaker Series, and youth-led Eco Initiatives Allowance Projects. Guided by Elders, Knowledge Carriers, and experts, youth will learn about traditional harvesting practices, culturally significant plants, conservation, and more while building practical skills, deepening their connection to the land and to the water, and create meaningful relationships with other Métis youth.
Eligibility
- MNBC Citizens and self-identifying Métis
- Between the ages of 15-30, living in B.C.
- Interested in learning more about the environment and climate action, whether you’re already passionate about these issues or just starting to explore them.
