The Michif Language Grants support initiatives and activities that promote, teach or celebrate Michif in British Columbia as part of Aan Michif Piikishkwaytaak, MNBC’s 10-Year Michif Language Revitalization Plan.
Coverage Amount(s)
- Michif Learning Initiatives Grant: up to $30,000.
- Michif Language Celebration Grant: up to $10,000.
- Specialized Michif Projects Grant: up to $10,000.
- Successful applicants receive funding in three installments.
Eligibility
- Michif Learning Initiatives Grant: Métis Chartered Communities and organizations with MNBC partnerships
- Michif Language Celebration Grant: Métis Chartered Communities
- Specialized Michif Projects Grant: individual Métis Citizens
