The Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) Business Management Program offers a dynamic learning experience that will make a profound impact on your career, your community, and your business. Taught by top-rated business faculty from the UBC Sauder School of Business, this online course integrates core business disciplines with leadership development, practical experience and Métis specific content.

Program at a Glance

This online certificate program integrates leading-edge knowledge, practical entrepreneurial training, and Métis cultural contexts for a holistic learning experience. Participants learn key business topics taught by top-tier UBC Sauder faculty, receive one-on-one support, and create a business capstone project applicable to their business idea. Capstone presentations will combine all learned topics and be presented on the final day of class. A Métis Elder in Residence will also offer support, perspectives and teachings.

Who is This Program Geared For?

Aspiring MNBC Métis entrepreneurs and learners who demonstrate drive, ambition, and a keen interest in starting a new business or enhancing an existing one. It is a fully-funded program.

Please note: This cohort is in partnership with UBC and is a vetted cohort. Participants will be selected via their applications.

Program Commitment

This certificate program will be delivered fully online. Participants must attend all online classes and complete a capstone business project in order to graduate.

  • The UBC MNBC Business Management Program application form (above)
  • A personal essay
  • A resume
  • Two professional references
  • Proof of your Métis Citizenship to UBC via their website
