MNBC's Ministry of Food Security is excited to invite you to participate in the Mistahe Astêw Mîcôwin: Food Security Art Contest! The Northern Michif phrase is one of three Michif interpretations to the term “food security” and means: "there is lots of food" (learn more).
This is your chance to share your connection and perspectives on Métis food security, food systems and/or food ways in British Columbia. Let's explore how the land nourishes us, celebrate some cultural food traditions, create solutions for sustainable agriculture, or tell stories about Métis resilience or transformation related to food practices.
Show us how you put food on the table or something that represents food systems to you. Along with your artwork, submit a short bio and an artist statement explaining your connection to Métis Food Security and the meaning behind your artwork.
Selected entries will be featured in upcoming MNBC reports and documents on food security.
