You're invited to our one-day event to participate in Métis-specific cultural safety education and training and to discuss key health and wellness priorities for Métis in your region.
The Gathering will focus on opportunities to Increase Fraser Health Authority staff's understanding of the Métis in BC and increase connections to MNBC staff, Metis Chartered Communities, and community members. The objectives of the gathering are to:
Foster Métis allies and champions within Fraser Health Authority staff to support better respect, awareness, and support for Métis accessing the healthcare system, and to ensure Métis receive culturally safe care. As well as Increase Fraser Health Authority staff knowledge and awareness of Métis people and increase delivery of culturally safe and relevant care for Métis across BC.
Travel and Honorariums will be provided and accommodations for those who live 50km from the venue.
