Course Outline and Details
An interactive, four-week online instruction program focused on increased proficiency and competency with Microsoft Excel. The course will be provided utilizing the Moodle Learning Management System (Moodle LMS) and Open-Source Learning Resources.
Live instruction will be offered twice weekly over a period of nine weeks for a total of eight classes. Appointment-based live tutoring sessions will be offered weekly to provide students with extra support and in-depth assistance with course material. Additionally, a series of appointment-based one-on-one sessions will be offered as support and guidance.
Small class sizes (12-15 participants) will be emphasized to facilitate one-on-one, personalized support.
Each unit will include:
- A baseline assessment of current skills
- Live sessions with detailed demonstrations of assignments
- Comprehensive learning objectives
- Single-skill development activities and practice
- Combined-skill development activities
- Interactive quizzes
- Development of an Excel portfolio comprising course info and integrated skillsets
- Individualized feedback and assessment throughout
